Heardabout support

Ask how they heard about you, then see the revenue behind every answer.

Heardabout is in development and not yet on the Shopify App Store, so there is nothing to install yet. Questions about it are still welcome.

Get help

Email hello@sproutcart.co. A person reads every message. To get to an answer quickly, include your store's .myshopify.com address, what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.

Setting it up

  1. Install the app and open it from the Shopify admin.
  2. Create a survey. It starts with "How did you hear about us?" and an optional NPS question; edit the questions, options and wording.
  3. Turn the survey on. Only one survey is live at a time, so turning one on turns the others off.
  4. In the checkout editor, add the Heardabout block to the thank-you page.
  5. Watch answers arrive on the dashboard. An answer shows as pending until Shopify confirms its order, then it counts.

What it does not do yet

  • The survey appears on the thank-you page only, not on the order status page.
  • The CSV holds the order's confirmation number, not its order name such as #1001.
  • Revenue is the order total when the order was placed: refunds are not subtracted, and totals in different currencies are not converted.
  • The email notification and weekly digest settings are stored but do not send anything yet.
  • Default questions are in English. The admin is in English and French.
  • It has not yet been run against a live Shopify store, and it is not on the App Store.

Uninstalling

Remove the app from Settings → Apps and sales channels in your Shopify admin. What is deleted, and when, is listed on the Heardabout privacy policy.
